Betty Finn, portrayed by Renée Estevez, is a minor character in the cult classic film Heathers. Betty is a childhood friend of Veronica Sawyers, but the two lost touch after Veronica joined the Heathers.
Not much is known about Betty's early life other than that she was childhood friends with Veronica Sawyer until she joined the Heathers.
Betty has straight brown hair with puffy bangs (that sometimes she wears tied up, like in the picture above), she has blue eyes, thin lips and wears big round glasses. She wears very conservative, old-fashioned clothes.
Betty seems to be very shy, reserved and friendly. She always speaks in a very sweet and shy tone, and acts very understanding of Veronica not being able to hang out with her as often as before.
She also seems very romantic and dreams of having a boyfriend, as she once said she'd blow off her own birthday for a date if she had the chance. Overall, she acts like the stereotypical "goody two-shoes."
We don't see much of Betty Finn to know for sure her real motives and if she secretly resents Veronica or not.
It is mentioned at the beginning of the film that Veronica Sawyer and Betty Finn were childhood friends, remaining friends through middle and high school until Veronica joined the Heathers.
Neither seems to be upset about their friendship ultimately ending and harbor no hard feelings. They interact several times over Veronica missing Betty's birthday party, showing old pictures of the duo on Halloween, and Betty coming over to Veronica's house to play croquet after Heather Chandler's death. It is assumed that their friendship resumed after the Heathers disbanded.
